Adding some of these Latin wedding party rituals can be a beautiful way to add your customs into your wedding day. They can also be the best way to make the service feel even more inclusive for virtually any spiritual family members in attendance.

The Protector Ceremony

Probably the most popular Latina wedding traditions involves a team of godparents, known as padrinos. They are really a group of people that help the groom and bride throughout the wedding celebrations, explains Baca. They are going to help them prepare for the wedding, and they’ll also be accountable for different areas of the wedding party. They will often supply the bride and groom items, such as arras. These are 13 gold coins that represent Jesus and his 12 Apostles, which the groom provides to the star of the event as a symbol of his promises to care for her.

The Vinculo Ceremony

Some other common practice is the infelice, where a light ribbon is normally tied throughout the bride and groom’s necks or shoulder muscles. It is a symbol of oneness and like, and it is done during the ceremony or the reception. They may in addition have a rebozo, where the bride’s grandma or mom sews bouquets on to her clothing.
